When to Go To Uganda

Like most of East Africa region, Uganda is warm and dry from roughly June to September and then again from mid- December to the end of February, these are probably the best time to visit. Game viewing in Uganda’s National Park is excellent and marvelous from June to September and gorilla trekking experience in these months is lovely thanks to slightly cooler temperatures.

December, January and February are also as good for game viewing safaris and gorilla trekking (perhaps a little hotter) and sometimes quieter which can be a bonus. In the in-between months (November, March to May), you can expect more humidity rain showers. Still you can visit Uganda, however there may be less choice in accommodations as some of the more remote places become inaccessible.
