Detailed itinerary of 6 Days Uganda Wildlife Safari
Day 1: Pickup from Kampala or Entebbe – Drive to Murchison falls National Park
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport or after breakfast at your hotel in Entebbe or Kampala, you will be picked up by our safari guide and embark on a drive to Murchison falls with a drive through Kampala City and the country side’s small towns such as Luwero and Nakasogola.
Luwero is a famous town for hosting the National Residence Army – the current ruling government of Uganda, during their guerrilla war with the government forces in the early 1980’s. Nakasogola is cattle keeping corridor and you will see a lot of long horned Ankole cattle grazing by the road side, you will have stopovers at the road side marks to purchase some local fruits.
You will have a stop at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to track white Rhinos on foot, after the amazing experience you will be continue to the park with another stop in Masindi for lunch. When you will arrive in the park, you will have a stop at the top of Murchison Falls and watch as River Nile squeezes through a narrow gorge before plunging itself into hard rocks before making their final free fall and continue its way to Egypt.
Head to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Game drive in the morning – Boat cruise on the river Nile
on the 2nd day of your Uganda Safari , Wake up early for breakfast, meet your guide and head to the savannah plains of Murchison Falls National Park for a morning game drive, you will enjoy watching several animals including cape buffaloes, elephants, antelopes, lions, hyenas, giraffes, oribis among others.
After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for lunch and in the afternoon. You will go for a boat cruise which goes upstream and ends at the bottom of the Murchison Falls close to a place named “Devil’s Cauldron”.
The boat cruise at River Nile offers opportunities to spot many famous Africa’s creatures, the river has one of the greatest concentration of hippos and crocodiles in Africa which you spot during the cruise. You will also spot elephants, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, countless species of antelopes and various bird species such as the elusive Shoebill stork, Goliath heron, Pelicans, bee-eaters, Egyptian geese, kingfishers, cormorants and hornbills. The boat cruise ends with a breathtaking view of the Murchison Falls from the calm water, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Full day Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Have a leisurely breakfast and embark on a journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park, along the way you will observe the country side and en-route lunch.
You will also admire the naturally beautiful countryside of the western Uganda, when you arrive in the park, you will check-into your lodge as spending the evening at the rest. Have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Game drive at the Kasenyi Plains – Boat cruise at the Kazinga Channel
Wake up early for breakfast and head to the park for a game drive in the Kasenyi plains where you will see herds of elephant, hyenas, leopards, lions and various antelope species. Queen Elizabeth National Park is a great birding destination in Uganda with over 495 species of birds recorded in the park including falcons, eagles, raptors, Black-bee eaters and 11 species of Kingfishers among others.
Return to the lodge for a short rest and lunch, in the afternoon you will head to the Kazinga Channel for a fascinating boat cruise, the channel has a high population of hippos which is the highest in Africa and you will spot a lot of them. You will also spot various animals such as buffaloes, elephants drinking water and many bird species such as herons, crested crane among others. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Chimpanzee trekking in Kyambura Gorge of Queen Elizabeth National Park
Wake up early for breakfast and head to the Kyambura Gorge, this underground forest is one of the great attractions in Queen Elizabeth National Park, the forest is a home to a chimpanzee family which will encounter while on a guided natural walk. You will see other primates such as vervet monkeys, colobus monkeys and olive baboons among others.
After this amazing experience, you will return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, you will return to the park for a game drive. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Tree Climbing Lions of Ishasha – Transfer Back to Kampala
After breakfast, you will head to the Ishasha Sector for a game drive on which you will see the tree climbing lions lounging on fig trees. After the game drive, you will embark on a journey back to Kampala with a stopover in Mbarara for lunch and at the Equator Crossing in Kayabwe – Masaka.
When you arrive in Kampala, you will be dropped off either at your hotel or at the airport for your onward flight.
