Detailed itinerary of 10 Days Iconic Tanzania Safari
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel for dinner and overnight.
Overnight at Rivertree Country Inn
Day 2: Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, you will drive to Tarangire National Park situated within Tanzania’s spectacular Manyara Region. This awe-inspiring national park comprises of granite ridges, river valleys, mixed vegetation landscapes, and free-roaming wildlife. During the dry season, the Tarangire River is a magnet for thirsty wildlife including large herds of elephants, buffaloes, impalas, gazelles, hartebeests and elands. These animals are followed by predators.
Also, Tarangire National Park is the one place in Tanzania where dry-country antelopes such as the oryx and gerenuk are seen regulary. This expansive areas is also known for its spectacular baobab trees and its breathtaking views of the Masaai Steppe and the wondrous mountains to the south.

Day 3 – 5: Ngorongoro Crater
Located in Northern Tanzania, the Ngorongoro Crater is a beautiful safari destination known for its natural beauty and abundance of diverse wildlife, which makes it one of Africa’s most popular safari destinations.
Surrounded by Tanzania’s highlands, this UNESO World Heritage Centre is the world’s largest intact sunken volcanic caldera. During the game drive in the crater you will spot the world-renowned Big Five and several other wildlife species including warthogs, zebras, giraffes, wildebeests and several bird species including flamingoes on the shores of Lake Magadi. Other activities you can do in Ngorongoro Crater include bird watching, trekking, wildlife viewing, mountain biking and visiting a local Maasai Village.

Day 5-7: Northern Serengeti
Located between the Central Serengeti and Kenya’s Masai Mara National Reserve to the north, the Northern Serengeti is a remote African wildlife wonderland. The vast, rolling plains are a hub of the great migration, when some six million hooves pound the open plains are more than 200,000 zebras and 300,000 Thomson’s gazelles join a million wildebeests on a trek for fresh grazing.
The landscape is characterized by vast stretches of savannah interspersed with acacia trees and riverine woodlands. Wildlife can be seen along the banks of the Mara River and visitors can witness the annual spectacle of the half a million migrating wildebeests. Commonly spotted wildlife include Cape buffalo, zebras, gazelles, impalas, and giraffes as well a lion and leopard. Visitors can look forward to bird watching, hot air balloon, safari drives and guided bush walks.

Day 8-9: Kiwengwa
Situated on the spectacular northeastern coast of Tanzania’s Unguja Island also known as Zanzibar Island. Kiwengwa is best known for its scenic beach of glittering white sands, lapped by crystalline waters.
Visitors can explore the local village and enjoy a host of water-based activities including diving, kite-surfing, diving, snorkeling and boating. Sample the local flavors of Zanzibar’s unique cuisine, sip on a delicious cocktail at the beachfront bar, and discover the fascinating underwater wonderland that lies offshore. Visitors will be able to spot turtles, starfish, octopuses and seahorses easily. For animal lovers, delight in the chance to visit nearby Cheetah Rock Conservation Centre, which protects lions, zebras and many other rescued animals.
