3 Days Nyungwe National Park
This 3 Days Nyungwe National Park takes you on adventure of Nyungwe Forest National Park, an iconic primate destination in Rwanda and a great chimpanzee trekking destination. Located in Southwestern Rwanda, Nyungwe National Park is one of the oldest protected areas in the country. The park is particularly famous for its population of primates, hosting 13 species, including chimpanzees, black and white colobus monkeys which are endemic to the Albertine Rift among others.

Detailed itinerary of 3 Days Nyungwe National Park
Day 1: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park & Coffee Tour.
On arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our guide-driver and drive you southwards to Nyungwe Forest National Park. You will have a stopover in Butare, where you will visit the National Museum of Rwanda, the King’s Palace in Nyanza with lunch en-route. You will have another stopover at the Huye Women’s Coffee Cooperative which will take you on a 2 hour’s safari at the coffee plantation understanding more about the coffee making process from harvesting, sorting, cleaning until it is processed.
You will also get to watch how coffee has improved the livelihoods of the neighboring communities through women empowerment for an amazing safari experience. After this amazing safari experience, make your way to the park, check in your hotel. Dinner and overnight at Gisakura Visitor Center.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking and Canopy Walk.
Enjoy breakfast and go for briefing about the endangered chimpanzees before entering the forest in search of the active and playful chimpanzees in Nyungwe Forest. The chimpanzees are much easier to spot as they jump from one tree to another, chattering and laughing. Chimpanzee tracking takes about 3 hours, on find them, spend an hour while taking pictures and videos and watching them go on with their life in the forest.
You will then return to your lodge to freshen up, have lunch then checkout and later in the afternoon participate in a canopy walk. A walking trail leads you to the Canopy Walk, a swing bridge suspended 50 meters in length. During the walk, you will be able to see the beautiful rainforest with a bird’s eye view, spotting wildlife moving about below you there after head to your lodge and spend the evening at leisure.

Day 3: Transfer Back To Kigali
After an early morning breakfast at your lodge, you will embark on your journey back to Kigali City where if time allows, you will visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial Museum and later transfer to the airport for your onward flight or dropped at your hotel in Kigali bringing your Rwanda safari to an end.
