DETAILED ITINERARY OF 10 DAYS UGANDA AND RWANDA SAFARI
Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe
On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative – your safari driver-guide and transfer to your hotel in Entebbe. Depending on the time of your arrival, you will explore the laid-back city of Entebbe. You can visit the beach and the shopping malls. Have dinner and overnight.

Day 2-3: Transfer to Western Uganda – Bunyaruguru Crater Lakes
Have early breakfast, checkout of your lodge and embark on a journey to western Uganda to Bunyaruguru crater craters, the crater lake region has dozens of ancient craters teeming with glistening waters in the mystical landscape. The stretch has 52 lakes formed by violent volcanoes eruptions and filled with the rains.
You will spend the two nights exploring these beautiful crater lakes tucked away about 35 kilometers South of Fort Portal between the main Fort Portal Kasese road and Kibale Forest National Park.

Day 4-5: Queen Elizabeth National Park
From crater lakes, you will head to Queen Elizabeth National Park – the most popular national park in Uganda where you will spend the two nights.
Queen Elizabeth National Park is home to the rare tree climbing lions, over 600 different bird species, hippos, elephants, leopards and many more animals which you will see as you explore the park’s savannah plains.
You will have a morning and afternoon game drive in the Kasenyi plains where you will spot a variety of wildlife including Ugandan Kob, elephants, buffaloes, elands leopards wandering among others.
Boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel is another amazing Uganda safari experience you will do in Queen Elizabeth National Park, on this exciting experience you will water animals such as hippos and crocodiles in the waters and herds of elephants, buffaloes along the banks of the river drinking water and water birds.
Return to the lodge, have dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Have breakfast, checkout of your lodge and head to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park with a game drive through the Ishasha Sector where you will spot the tree climbing lions resting on branches of fig trees.
Continue to Bwindi with en-route lunch, arrive in the evening. Check – in at your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest
Have early breakfast and head to the park’s headquarters where you will join other trekkers for briefing about gorilla trekking conducted by a senior ranger guide, you will be grouped into 8 people and be assigned a gorilla family to trek. Head into the forests of Bwindi looking for mountain gorillas, the time taken on the trek looking for mountain gorillas is approximately 2 hours to 6 hours depending on the movement of mountain gorillas and where their feeding range.
When you locate the gorillas, you will spend one hour in their presence taking pictures, observing their behavior and watch gorilla babies play on tree branches, silverbacks defending the groups among others. Return to the park’s headquarters to pick your Gorilla Certificates and head to your lodge for an evening of rest or head to the Batwa Community for a cultural experience.

Day 8: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
After breakfast, you will checkout of your lodge and embark on a journey to Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda – a home to the endangered mountain gorillas and the golden monkeys.
Along the way, you will have border crossing at Cyanika Border and proceed to Volcanoes National Park arriving in the evening. Check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Golden Monkey trekking and transfer to Kigali City
Wake up early for breakfast and head to the park’s headquarters in Kinigi, Musanze for briefing about golden monkey trekkers and rules and regulations to follow while on this experience.
The head into the forests in search for the golden monkeys which are found in the bamboo forests, you will spend one hour watching them play on bamboo trees and picking fruits. Golden monkeys are very playful creatures and you will watch them play on trees.
Trek back to the park’s headquarters, meet your driver guide and head back to your lodge for lunch. Then checkout and drive back to Kigali City, arrive in the evening, check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 10: Departure
Have a leisure breakfast and head for a city visiting the Kigali Genocide Memorial site where you will learn about the horrific Kigali Genocide. Other sites you will visit include the Kimironko Market Center among others.
After lunch, you will be dropped off at the airport for your departure flight back home.
