Detailed itinerary of 10 Days Magical Kenya Safari

Day 1: Transfer from Nairobi to Maasai Mara

On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport you will be warmly welcomed by our guide and after a short briefing you will embark on a journey to Masai Mara, drive through the Great Rift Valley were you will have a stopover for scenic viewing and taking pictures of the escarpments. Then proceed to the reserve with another stopover in Narok Town where you can buy beautiful Masai artifacts such as necklaces, earrings and many more.

Arrive in the reserve in time for lunch at your lodge after checking in, in the afternoon you will go for an afternoon game drive for watching the scenic views of the reserve and spotting animals such as lions, leopards, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras and many more.

Day 2 – 3: Full Day in Maasai Mara

Spend these two days exploring the endless plains of Masai Mara on fill day game drives with picnic lunches. On the game drives you will have opportunity to explore the reserve and spot many animals such as lions, elephants, buffaloes, rhinos, cheetahs, waterbucks, antelopes, African wild dogs and hyenas among others.

You will have picnic lunch set at the banks of Mara River while enjoying views of animals drinking at the waters of the River and Nile Crocodiles. In the evening you will head back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4:  Transfer from Maasai Mara to Lake Nakuru

Wake up early for breakfast and go for an early morning game drive searching for animals such as leopards, cheetahs, lions and many more. After this amazing experience you will exit the reserve and embark on a journey to Lake Nakuru National Park.

Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge after check-in, the afternoon you will go for an afternoon game drive. Lake Nakuru National Park is famously known for the largest population of rhinos in Kenya and large concentration of pink flamingoes crowding the shores of Lake Nakuru.

Day 5: Transfer from Lake Nakuru national park to Amboseli

After morning breakfast you will checkout of your lodge and with an en-route game drive on a journey to Amboseli National Park with en-route lunch in Nairobi. Arrive in the park in the evening, check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Amboseli National Park Full Day Kenya Safari

Spend the full day in Amboseli National Park with early morning and evening game drives. Amboseli National Park offers a wide range of habitats from the dried – up bed of Lake Amboseli, wetlands and Sulphur Springs. The park is home to a variety of wildlife including lions, leopards, buffaloes, rhinos, elephants, giraffes, hippos and a variety of water fowls like pelican, crakes and Egyptian goose.

Day 7: Amboseli National Park to Tsavo West National Park

After breakfast, depart for Tsavo West National Park which lies half way between Nairobi and the Coast. The Mzima Springs are the chief attraction in the park hosting a huge number of hippos and Nile Crocodiles, the spring gushes more than 50 million galloon a day of crystal water and are the source of Mombasa’s waters.

Arrive the lodge, have lunch and later go for an evening game drive to see large herds of elephants, buffaloes, common waterbucks, elands, rhinos and wide variety of antelopes. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8: Tsavo West National Park to Tsavo East National Park

Soon after breakfast, proceed to Tsavo East National Park with en-route game drive.

Tsavo East National Park was famed for its large herds of elephants covered in red dust and fine scenery. We visit the scenic Lugard Falls, Mudanda Rocks and Aruba Dam as we view game if time permits.

Day 9: Tsavo East National Park

Spend a full day exploring Tsavo East National Park on morning and afternoon game drives. The landscape in Tsavo is flatter and drier, despite having one of Kenya’s longest rivers, the Galana River flowing through the middle. Much of the wildlife is concentrated on the river, which has plentiful Nile crocodiles and hippos.  Some of the animals to see include Nile crocodiles, hippos, waterbucks, dik-diks among others, common along the river banks.

 Day 10: Tsavo East National Park – Nairobi

After breakfast, you will bid farewell and drive back to Nairobi where you will be dropped off either at your hotel or at the airport for your flight back home.
