Detailed Itinerary of 8 Days Masai Mara Safari and Uganda Gorilla Trekking
Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe, Uganda
On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our guide, after briefing about the safari and drive you to your hotel in Entebbe. Spend the rest of the day at leisure or go for walk around Entebbe.

Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
You will be picked up at 7 am and start the long drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, the home of the gorillas. The drive is approximately 7-8 hours. Along the journey, you will have a stop at the Equator Crossing for pictures and a chance to stand in both Northern and Southern Hemisphere and do a water experience. You will have another stop in Mbarara for lunch and continue to Bwindi Forest arriving in evening.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest
Wake up early for breakfast, meet your guide and head to the park headquarters for briefing about gorilla trekking and in groups of 8 people, you will be assigned a gorilla family to trek and head into the forest looking for mountain gorillas. The gorilla trek takes approximately 2 to 6 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas and where they spent their previous night.
Upon locating the gorilla family, you will be allowed to spend only one hour in their presence, watch them play, feed, groom and take as many photos as you wish. Make sure your flashlight is off as it may agitate the gorillas. Later trek back to the park headquarters, meet your guide and return to the lodge where you will spend the evening reminiscing on the day’s adventure.

Day 4: Bwindi Forest – Entebbe – Kenya
After early breakfast, you shall be driven back to Entebbe where you will take the evening flight to Nairobi, the capital of Kenya. On landing, you will be welcomed by our guide, and take you to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Nairobi to Masai Mara
After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel in Nairobi and start your scenic journey to Masai Mara National Reserve, the drive is about 5 hours which includes stops along the way to take in the beautiful views of the rift valley, and at curio shops to catch a cup of coffee/tea or simply marvel at the many beautiful African crafts that you can purchase.
You will arrive in the Mara in time for lunch which you will enjoy after checking in, have a short rest and later set off into the Mara for your first bush adventure in the beautiful plains. You will spot a number of animals and learn a bit about the Mara. At sunset you will make your way back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6&7: Full Day in Masai Mara
These two days are dedicated to exploring Masai Mara, wake up early for breakfast and head to Masai Mara for a full day of adventure with your packed lunch boxes. You will explore the game rich areas of the reserve and witness the Great Migration if you visiting time the wildebeests are in Masai Mara.

After breakfast, bid farewell to Masai Mara and embark on a journey back to Nairobi where you will be dropped off either at your hotel or at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to catch your flight back home or to your next destination.
