The Main Lodge
Mahogany Spring’s main lodge structure sits on a hillside, providing breathtaking views of the misty Bwindi Forest from its expansive terrace. The restaurant and terrace serves a diverse selection of internationally-influenced cuisine and beverages. Guests at the lodge can indulge in private dining experiences by the river or cottage balconies.
The bar offers a wide range of beverages including wines, beers, spirits, cocktails, and soft drinks, catering to all tastes.

At main area, there is a gift shop selling a variety of locally crafted items, clothing and Ugandan souvenirs for guests to purchase for themselves or for their loved ones back home.
After day’s activities in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park such as gorilla trekking and guided nature walks, visitors can unwind in the newly renovated living room or on one of the highly comfortable sofas by the fireplace in the evening while savoring a well-deserved glass of wine or a cold drink.

Family Suites at Mahogany Springs boasts unobstructed views of the Munyanga River and have 2 bedrooms, 2 en-suite bathrooms and spacious living rooms that lead to private terraces. These large, well-presented suites are perfect for families or two couples travelling together.
Our newest Family Suite named “The Munyanga Suite” opened in June 2022 and is perched high up on the banks of the Munyanga River.

As per rules and regulations of Uganda Wildlife Authority, children under the age to trek mountain gorillas. Alternatively, Mahogany Springs offers a selection of activities with babysitter to keep the children busy at the lodge while you embark on your gorilla trekking experience.

Getting to Mahogany Springs Lodge
To get to Mahogany Springs Lodge, a flight takes a 1-hour flight from Entebbe International Airport to Kihihi Airport, followed by a one-hour drive. Alternatively, you can drive to the lodge from western Uganda safari destinations, including Kibale National Park, renowned for chimpanzee tracking experiences, and Queen Elizabeth National Park – a popular destination for classic wildlife safaris.
Driving from Kampala, you can reach Mahogany Springs on a drive about 10 hours via Mbarara – Ntugamo – Rukungiri Road. 70% of this route is well-surfaced road. Driving from Kigali City of Rwanda, you can get to Mahogany Springs Lodge via Katuna Border Post in about 5-6 hours, including the immigration process at the border.
