Bwindi Forest National Park Fees July 2024 To June 2026 : Bwindi Forest National Park is the most popular travel destination in Uganda renowned for hosting half of the world’s remaining mountain gorilla population, the park is one of the only 4 gorilla destinations in the world where you can have a face-to-face encounter with the critically endangered mountain gorillas.
Bwindi Forest National Park is located in Southern Uganda near the border with the Democratic Republic of Congo and next to the magnificent Virunga National Park. Bwindi lies on the edge of the Great Rift Valley covering an area of 128 square kilometers and is covered in dense lowland and montane forests.
Bwindi Forest National Park hosts an exceptional biodiversity that is why it was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994, the park is home to over 345 bird species, 221 butterfly species and 120 mammals and over 160 tree species, 105 ferns and numerous flowering plants.
Bwindi Forest National Park is divided into 4 gorilla trekking sectors that is Buhoma Sector, Rushaga Sector, Ruhija Sector and Nkuringo Sector, these sectors host several habituated gorilla families.
