Detailed Itinerary of 7 Days Uganda Flying Safari

Day 1: Fly to Murchison falls National Park  

On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will meet our representative and connect for your domestic flight to Murchison Falls National Park. From Entebbe, it is a flight of 1:30 hours and on landing, you will be warmly welcomed by our driver guide and start your game drive on your way to your hotel for check –in. Enjoy lunch and later in the return to the park for another game drive till evening.

Day 2: Morning Game drive and an afternoon boat cruise

Enjoy breakfast at the lodge and head to the park for a morning game drive on which you will see various wildlife species including elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, giraffes, lions, and also different bird species among others. Return to the lodge for lunch and later, return to the park for an afternoon boat cruise on the Nile, watch this famous river make it way through the narrow gorge forming the most powerful waterfall in the world along it way.  Take amazing photos of the falls from the buttom and later return to the lodge for an evening of rest, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Fly to Kibale Forest National Park

After breakfast at the lodge, you will be driven to Pakuba Airstrip for your domestic flight to Kibale Forest National Park – home to 13 primate species such as chimpanzees, red tailed monkeys, vervet monkeys and birds such as rumped tinker bird, the green breasted pitta, and yellow spotted nicator among others.

On landing, you will meet our driver-guide and head to your lodge for check-in and lunch. In the afternoon you will go for a guided walk in Bigodi Swamp where you will meet and interact with the local people.

Chimpanzee in Kibale Forest National Park

Day 4: Chimpanzee tracking and a visit to Bigodi wetland

Wake up early for breakfast and proceed to the park headquarters for briefing about chimpanzee tracking and safety measures while in the forest. Enter the forest with armed ranger guides in search for chimpanzees, the trek takes approximately 2 to 4 hours or more depending on the movement of the chimpanzees and where they spent their previous night. Spend an hour watching the chimpanzees groom each other, feed and play.

After this exhilarating experience and lunch in the wild, return to your lodge for an afternoon of relaxation. In the evening you will go for a guided walk in the Bigodi Swamp where you will enjoy sightings of several primate species like mongoose, bush pigs and baboons plus several bird species among others.

Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After breakfast at your lodge, check out and journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park found in southwestern part of Uganda. The park is   renowned for being a home to over 340 mountain gorillas. On the way to the park, you will see various animals in Queen Elizabeth National Park, and amazing vegetation together with the local people along the road. You will as well enjoy lots of animal species along the way to the park. Arrive in the afternoon. Check in at the lodge, relax or go for a guided nature walk.

Day 6: Gorilla trekking Experience in Bwindi Forest

Enjoy an early morning breakfast, later continue to the park headquarters for a briefing. After briefing, the rangers will guide you through the forest as you start your search for the Mountain gorillas. Gorilla trekking is an amazing activity though can be tiring, it takes 2 to 8 hours. After trekking head back to the lodge for your lunch, later in the evening you could opt for relaxing at the lodge or visit the Batwa community to have fun as you enjoy their cultural dances.

Day 7: Fly to Entebbe

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Kisoro Airstrip for your flight to Entebbe International Airport where you will connect for your international flight back home.
