Detailed itinerary of 6 Days Gorillas and Chimpanzee Trek Safari
Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
Your guide will pick you up from Entebbe International Airport upon arrival or at your hotel and drive you to Western Uganda, Lake Mburo National Park. On your way, you will have a stop at the Uganda Equator, take photos and proceed, lunch at the lodge and then go for a boat cruise on Lake Mburo. After enjoying the beauty of the lake and watching several water animals like hippos, return to the lodge at sunset with game drive on your way. Have dinner and then overnight at Rwakobo Rock.
Drive time: 4.5 hours
Day 2: Morning Game Drive and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Have an early morning game drive searching of for zebras, giraffes and impalas among others. Return to the lodge for a full breakfast, checkout and proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Arrive in the park in late afternoon and relax at the lodge. At sunset, you will be entertained by traditional dances from the local Batwa People at the lodge. Have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking Experience
Trek the endangered mountain gorillas of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Uganda. Wake up early morning to prepare for your gorilla, have your gears on, with your trousers, gloves, long-sleeved shirts, sunglasses, socks, hut, insect repellent, energy food and enough drinking water.
Meet other trekkers at the park headquarters for briefing about gorilla trekking, head to the starting point, then proceed for our trekking which takes approximately 2 to 6 hours. Spend a full hour with the mountain gorillas watching them groom each other and go on with their life in the forest.
Meals: breakfast, lunch, and dinner
Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, checkout of your lodge and drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park via Ishasha Sector where you will see tree climbing lions lounging on fig trees if you are luck. Continue to your lodge for lunch, in the afternoon you will go for a Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise on which you will see various animals such as hippos and crocodiles and hippos in the waters of the channel and elephants and buffaloes along the banks.
Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Elephant Hab.

Day 5: Morning Game Drive and drive to Kibale Forest National Park
Have early breakfast and head to the park for a morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park, renowned for hosting a huge population of animals including predators like lions and leopards.
Later return to the lodge for lunch, check out and embark on to Kibale Forest National Park arriving in late afternoon. Check in at your lodge and relax for the evening. Have dinner and overnight at Kibale Forest Lodge.

Day 6: Chimpanzee Trekking Experience and Transfer back to Kampala
Wake up early for breakfast, head to Kibale Forest National Park headquarters for briefing about chimpanzee trekking, join other treks and be assigned a chimpanzee community to trek then head to the starting point. Enter into the forests looking for chimpanzees, the trek takes approximately 2 to 4 hours or more depending on the movement of the chimpanzee. Upon locating them, you are given one hour of watching these playful features as they go on with their life in the forest and take as many photos as possible.
Return to the park headquarters, meet your guide and embark on a journey back to Kampala with en-route lunch. Your guide will drop you off at Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight.
