Day 1: Pick up from Kigali and transfer to Volcanoes national park
After morning breakfast the guide will pick you up from the lodge or hotel in Kigali and transfer you for a short city tour where you will expect to visit the Kigali genocide memorial and the Belgian peace center before having lunch at the famous hotel Rwanda, after lunch you will start your drive to Volcanoes national park upon arrival you will check-in, relax and overnight.
Day 2: Diana Fossey grave hike
After early morning breakfast, you will transfer to Kinigi park headquarters for a briefing about the Diana Fossey grave hike, after the hike you will drive to the starting point for the hike, the hike takes about 3-4 hours en route you will expect to encounter wildlife, birds and tremendous nature after the visit you will return to the endpoint and drive back to the Lodge for relaxation and overnight.
Day 3: Golden Monkey trekking experience
After early morning breakfast, you will transfer to the park headquarters in Kinigi for a briefing about the golden monkeys, after the briefing, you will transfer to the starting point to start your trek on foot, after locating the golden monkeys you will then stay with them for one hour as you photograph the golden monkeys and later return to the lodge for overnight and relaxation.
Day 4: Gorilla trekking and transfer to Kigali
This will be one of the highlights of your expedition, gorilla trekking is one of Africa’s greatest wildlife encounters, coming face to face with the mountain gorillas in their natural habitat is one of the greatest moments and once in a lifetime Rwanda safari experiences, your guide will pick you up early morning and you will transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing about the gorilla trekking, after the briefing, you will drive to the trailhead to start your trek on foot in the rainforest, after locating the gorillas you will spend one hour with 1 hour and later return to the lodge for refreshment and later drive to Kigali for your departure flight or overnight.

Best time to trek Mountain gorillas in Rwanda
Rwanda is all year round safari destination but the dry season from June to October and December to February is the best time to see the mountain gorillas as the trails are drier with less rainfall.
