Gorilla Heights Lodge is an exclusive luxury lodge in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park’s Nkuringo Sector, Bwindi is the best place for gorilla trekking in the world and home to half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas in Southwestern Uganda.
The lodge is strategically amidst the breathtaking beauty of Bwindi, where visitors can have a magical encounter with the world’s most endangered primates. Gorilla Heights Lodge sits on a 12-acre piece of land, decorated with 15 luxury cottages, a heated swimming pool, and a spa with steam and sauna. Modern green roofs incline to seamlessly blend with the surrounding nature. Enjoy a gaze in Bwindi Forest’s mist canopy in a luxury style with high chances of enjoying a gorilla habituation experience, only done in Bwindi lasting for 4 hours with a semi-habituation mountain gorillas.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site where plains and mountain forest meet. The park span 32000 hectares and boasts remarkable biodiversity, including over 160 tree species and more than 100 fern species. The park is home to 356 bird species, 220 butterfly species and various majestic animal species, including the endangered mountain gorillas.

Bwindi Terrace overlooks the lush forest while the Virunga Terrace offers panoramic views of its namesake, the Virunga Mountains.

Gorilla Heights Lodge’s accommodation rate is inclusive of meals, soft drinks, house wines and local beers. Premium drinks and spirits are charged at an additional cost.
Child Policy at Gorilla Heights Lodge
Child minding services can be arranged by the hotel staff upon request and are available at an additional cost, with a minimum of 24 hours’ notice required. The term “Under the age” refers to any age up to, but not including, the specified age. Once a child reaches a specified age, they are no longer considered “under the age” and will be charged at the applicable rate.
Please Note: Gorilla Trekking is only permitted for guests 15 years and older.
Age Classifications and Accommodation
- Children aged 0-4 years stay free of charge
- A maximum of two children under 16 years may share with adults in the family cottage at no additional cost
- Cots are available for children up to the age of 3, with a maximum of one cot per room, subject to availability
- An additional night rate applies for children aged 5-9 years, sharing in a Deluxe Cottage (Full Board basis only)
- Adult rates apply for children 13 years and older.
