Day 1: Arrival in Kigali and Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
On arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be warmly received by your driver-guide and go for a short Kigali City Tour visiting Kigali Genocide Memorial Site, the National Museum and the local markets giving you a perfect introduction to Rwanda – the land of a thousand hills.
After the exploring the cleanliest city in Africa, you will enjoy lunch a restaurant then set off on a journey to Volcanoes National Park found in Musanze, arrive in the evening, check out in at your lodge and spend the evening at rest. Have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park – Departure
Today is the climax of your 2 Days Gorilla Trekking Rwanda, wake up early for breakfast, meet your driver guide and head to the park headquarters with your packed lunch boxes. Join other visitors in a briefing session led by a park rangers, you will be taken through rules and regulations to follow while in the presence of mountain gorillas and best way to behave.
In groups of 8 people you will assigned a gorilla family to trek, then head into the forest looking for mountain gorillas. Some amount of physical fitness is required during this activity for a number of hills climbs involved. The experience is tedious but impressive when you finally come face to face with mountain gorillas, you will spend an hour observing the gorilla family as they go about their daily routine activities, of mothers caring for the little ones, the juveniles playing as well as feeding. You are expected to maintain a good distance while you watch them and also to make sure to turn off the flash of your camera as you take photographic images.
Gorilla trekking in Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park takes approximately 2 to 8 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas and where they spent their previous night. After one hour with the gorillas, you will return to the park headquarters where you will find your driver and embark on a journey back to Kigali City where you will be dropped off at the airport for your departure flight.
