Detailed Itinerary of 7 Days Uganda Safari from Kigali
Day 1: Transfer from Kigali to Kibale Forest National Park
To mark the start of your Uganda Safari, you will be picked up by our driver-guide from your hotel in Kigali or at Kigali International Airport upon arrival. He will brief you about the safari and embark on a journey to Kibale Forest National Park.
You will enjoy en-route lunch in Fort Portal and continue to the park arriving in the late afternoon, check in at your lodge for an evening of rest. In the evening you will have dinner and spend the night.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking Experience & Afternoon Bigodi Swamp Walk
Wake up early for breakfast, head to Kibale Forest National Park for chimpanzee trekking. Join other trekkers for briefing about chimpanzee trekking, history of the experience and the right way to behave while in the presence of the chimpanzees.
In groups of 8 people, head into the rainforest searching for chimpanzees. The trek takes approximately 2 to 4 hours or more depending on the movement of the chimpanzees. On locating these playful primates, you will spend one hour in their presence, watching them play, feed and groom each other. Later trek back to the starting point and return to your lodge for lunch. In the afternoon you will go for a guided walk in the Bigodi Swamp where you will enjoy incredible sights of black and white colobus monkeys, olive baboons, and several colorful bird species.
Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park – Afternoon Game Drive
After a delicious breakfast, you shall bid farewell to Kibale Forest National Park and embark on a journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. On arrival in the park you will have a short game drive as you head to your lodge for check-in and enjoy your lunch.
In the afternoon you will go for a game drive in the Kasenyi Plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park, lookout for incredible sightings of lions, leopards, elephants, cape buffaloes, elands, Uganda kobs among other animals. At sunset, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Morning Game Drive & Afternoon Kazinga Boat Cruise
Today you will spend a full day in Queen Elizabeth National Park on a morning game drive and a boat cruise on the beautiful Kazinga Channel in the afternoon.
Wake up early for breakfast and head to the Kazinga Plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park renowned for hosting large concentrations of Uganda Kobs attracting predators such as lions, African wild dogs and leopards. Expect to see colorful bird species. Return to your lodge for a delicious meal and have a short rest.
In the afternoon, head to Kazinga Channel for a boat cruise exploring this natural water channel connecting Lake George to Lake Edward. Be on a lookout for large herds of elephants and buffaloes along the shores of the channel, hippos and crocodiles in the waters and several water bird species. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Bid farewell to your lodge after a delicious breakfast and embark on a journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park with a game drive through the Ishasha Sector where you will see the rare tree climbing lions lounging on fig trees.
Enjoy en-route lunch and continue with your journey to Bwindi Forest with a drive through the misty hills. Arrive in the evening, check into your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Gorilla Trekking Experience & Batwa Village Visit
Today is the climax for your Uganda Safari as you get to meet the endangered mountain gorillas in the natural habitat. Wake up early for breakfast, meet your driver guide and head to the park with your packed lunch boxes, join other trekkers at the park headquarters for briefing about gorilla trekking and the right way to behave while in the presence of the majestic gorillas.
Head into the forest searching for mountain gorillas on a trek through the emerald forest that lasts about 2 to 5 hours or more depending on the movement of the gorillas and where they spent their previous night. On locating these majestic primates, you will spend one hour in their presence as you watch them play, feed and groom each other. You can take as many photos as possible as long as your flashlight is off.
Trek back to the park headquarters where you will meet your driver guide and return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
