Detailed Itinerary of 5 Days Murchison Falls and Gorilla Trekking
Day 1: Entebbe – Murchison Falls National Park with visit at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
After breakfast at your hotel in Entebbe or upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by our driver guide and embark on a journey to Murchison Falls National Park with a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking.
Continue to Murchison Falls with en-route lunch in Masindi. Enter the park and head to the top of Murchison Falls – the world’s most powerful waterfall. Head to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Explore Murchison Falls National Park
After breakfast, head out for a game drive along the Northern Circuit and search for wildlife including Nubian giraffes, buffaloes, lions, spotted hyenas, elephants, Uganda kobs, hartebeests, warthogs, oribi, bohor’s reedbucks and many more. You will also see several bird species including black – headed lapwing, blue headed coucal, giant kingfisher, swamp flycatcher, among others.
Return to your lodge for lunch and in the afternoon, go for a boat cruise on River Nile heading to the bottom of Murchison Falls. Along the way you will see several animals including hippos and crocodiles in the waters, elephants, buffaloes and several water birds along the shores. You will make a stop below the bottom of Murchison Falls, watch them squeeze through the narrow gorge before falling down with a thunderous roar.

Day 3: Murchison Falls National Park – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Wake up early for breakfast, check out of your lodge and embark on a journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Along the way you will enjoy stops at places of interests for photography and stretching. Lookout out for scenic views of Lake Albert, the Rwenzori ranges, Kibale Forest, the beautiful crater lakes and the western Albertine Rift Valley. Enjoy en-route lunch and arrive in Bwindi in the evening, check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking Experience
After breakfast, meet your driver-guide and be driven to the park headquarters for briefing about gorilla trekking and the right way to behave while in the presence of the gorillas, in groups of 8 people you will be assigned a gorilla family to trek, head into the forest looking for mountain gorillas.
The trek through the emerald rainforests of Bwindi takes approximately 2 to 4 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas and where they spent their previous night. You are allowed to spend one hour in the presence of gorillas watching them play, feed and groom each other. Later return to the park headquarters, meet your guide and return to your lodge, in the evening you will go for a cultural experience in the Batwa Village where you will be entertained by local dances and drama, taste some local dishes and interact with the elders. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Departure
After breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and embark on a journey back to Kampala with stops at the Equator for pictures and in Mbarara for lunch. Proceed to Entebbe where you will be dropped off at the airport to catch your flight back home or to your next destination.
