Detailed Itinerary of 9 Days Uganda Wildlife and Primates Safari
Day 1: Arrival
On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative – your driver guide and transfer you to a hotel in Kampala for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park – Ziwa Rhino Tracking
Enjoy an early breakfast, embark on a journey to Murchison Falls National Park with a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for tracking rhinos. Led with a ranger guide, you will track for rhinos on foot and enjoy a close encounter with these endangered species. Proceed to Murchison Falls with lunch along the way.
Arrive in the park in the late afternoon and head to the top of Murchison Falls where you will enjoy amazing views of River Nile squeezing through a narrow gorge to create the world’s most powerful waterfall – Murchison Falls. Head to your lodge for check-in, dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Morning Game Drive & Boat Cruise on River Nile – Bottom of Murchison Falls
Enjoy early breakfast and then head out for an early morning game drive in the savannah plains of Murchison Falls National Park, during the game drive you will see several animals including large herds of elephants, buffalos, lions, leopards, giraffes, and several bird species.
Enjoy lunch at your lodge and in the afternoon, head out for a boat cruise on Nile River heading to the bottom of Murchison Falls. Along the cruise you will see several animals including hippos and crocodiles in the waters and herds of elephants and buffaloes along the banks of the river. Make a stop a few meters from the bottom of the falls to enjoy magnificent views and watch the river squeeze through the gorge to form Murchison Falls. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
After breakfast, check out of the lodge and journey to Kibale Forest National Park – the primate capital of the world. Along the way you will enjoy beautiful views of the landscape and the local people going on with their life, enjoy lunch en-route, arriving in the park in the evening. Check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking and Transfer & Bigodi Swamp Walk
Wake up early for breakfast, be picked up by your guide and head to the park for chimpanzee trekking. Join other visitors at the park headquarter for briefing about the dos and don’ts while in the forest conducted by a ranger guide.
Head into the forest in search for chimpanzee, the trek takes approximately 2 to 4 hours or more depending on the movement of the chimpanzees and where they spent their previous night. Spend one hour in the presence of the chimpanzee watching them play, feed and groom each other. Later retrace back to the park headquarters, meet your driver guide and return to your lodge for lunch. In the afternoon you will head to Bigodi Swamp for a guided walk, enjoy incredible sightings of black and white colobus monkeys, olive baboons and several colorful bird species.

Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park & Afternoon Game Drive
Wake up early for breakfast, check out of the lodge and journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park – the most popular wildlife destination in Uganda. It is a drive of approximately 4 hours and when you arrive in the park, you will go for a game drive as you head to your lodge for check-in and lunch.
In the afternoon, head out to the Kasenyi Plains for a game drive, lookout for several animals including lions, Uganda kob, elephants, warthogs, buffaloes and leopards among others.

Day 7: Morning Game Drive & Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise
Today we explore Queen Elizabeth National Park on a game drive and Kazinga Channel on a boat cruise. After breakfast, head out eager to enjoy incredible sightings of wildlife, some of the animals to lookout for include large herds of elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kob, hyenas, giant forest hog and several bird species.
Head to the Kazinga Channel for an afternoon boat cruise. As you sail on the calm waters you will see several animals including hippos and crocodiles in the waters and large herds of elephants and buffaloes along the banks and water birds such as herons, crested crane among others.
After lunch you will embark on a journey to Bwindi Forest, arriving in the evening, check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Gorilla Trekking & Batwa Experience
Wake up early for breakfast and head to the park headquarters for briefing about gorilla trekking conducted by a senior ranger guide. In groups of 8 people, head into the forest searching for mountain gorillas led by a ranger guide and armed rangers. The gorilla trek takes approximately 2-5 hours or more depending on the movement of the gorillas and where you spent your previous night, once you locate the gorillas you spend one hour watching these primates folic in their natural habitat.
Later trace back to the park headquarters and return to your lodge for freshening up and short rest, later head to the Batwa Community for a cultural experience. Here you will be entertained by local dances and drama, interact with the former forest people, visit the local medicine man among others.

Day 9: Departure
Today is the last day of your Uganda Safari, after breakfast you will bid farewell to Bwindi Forest and embark on a journey back to Kampala with en-route lunch in Mbarara and a stop at the Equator crossing for pictures.
You will be dropped off at Entebbe International Airport in time for your departure flight back home.
