Detailed Itinerary of 10 Days Uganda Wildlife Safari
Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to your hotel in Kampala
Your Uganda wildlife safari commences with arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be welcomed by our representative and transfer you to your hotel in Kampala. Check in and spend the rest of the day at leisure or go on a guided walk in Kampala City, visiting the Kabaka’s Palace, the National Museum among other iconic sites that is if you arrive earlier.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
After breakfast, you will be met by your guide and embark on a journey to Murchison Falls National Park. This impressive Uganda safari destination boasts the roaring rapids of Murchison Falls – the most powerful waterfalls in the world and vast plains where you will spot several animals including lions, giraffes, hartebeests, buffalo and elephants.
Murchison Falls National Park is known for its hippo and Nile crocodile populations. It is also a birder’s haven with over 450 bird species including the rare shoebill. En-route, visit the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking enjoy lunch in Masindi before continuing to your accommodation.

Day 3: Morning Game Drive and Boat Cruise along Victoria Nile
After breakfast, you will head to the park for an early morning game drive offering chances to view lions, giraffes, hartebeests, buffalo and elephants. Birders might spot secretary birds and black-chested snake eagles.
In the afternoon after lunch, take a boat trip to Murchison Falls’ base, seeing hippos, crocodiles and several water birds. Optional hike to the top of falls. Enjoy evening at your lodge and have overnight.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale National Park
After breakfast, check out of the lodge and embark on a journey to Kibale Forest National Park with en-route in Fort Portal with beautiful views of Rwenzori Mountains. Enjoy a guided nature walk in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary to observe colorful birds, butterflies and primates. Head to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Tracking and Bigodi Swamp Walk
Wake up early for breakfast, meet your guide and head to the park headquarters for briefing about chimpanzee trekking. Dubbed as the Primate Capital of the World, Kibale National Park is the best chimpanzee trekking destination in the world with about 5,000 chimpanzees and other 12 primate species including red colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, L’Hoest’s monkey, black and white colobus monkeys among others.
After briefing about the right way to behave while in the presence of the chimpanzees, you will head into the forests looking for chimpanzees under the guidance of armed rangers and guide. Upon locating these playful chimpanzees you will spend one hour in the presence watching them groom, play and jump from tree branch to another. After the tracking, you will return to your lodge for lunch, and in the afternoon you will enjoy a guided walk through Bigodi Swamps.

Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Enjoy a leisure breakfast, check out of the lodge and embark on a journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park, the second largest park in Uganda and the most popular. This beautiful park is located near the Rwenzori Mountains and beautiful lakes of Lake Edward and George is home to four of the Big Five – lion, leopard, cape buffalo and elephants. There are also other animals including hippos, warthogs and several colorful birds among others which you will see on an afternoon game drive.
In the evening, you will head to your lodge for check-in, enjoy dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Morning game drive and Boat Cruise along Kazinga Channel
Wake up early for a cup of coffee and go for an early game drive to spot elephants, lions, buffaloes, leopards and more in the Kasenyi plains, the breeding ground for antelopes thus attracting predators.
Return to the lodge for a full breakfast, have a short rest and lunch. later in the afternoon, go for a boat cruise along Kazinga Channel connecting Lakes George and Albert. Expect to see numerous hippos, buffaloes, crocodiles, elephants and several water birds including herons, crested cranes among others.

Day 8: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via Ishasha Sector
After breakfast, check out of the lodge and embark on a journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via the Ishasha Sector where you will get to see the rare tree climbing lions lounging lazily on fig tree branches. Enjoy en-route lunch and continue to Bwindi, arriving in the evening, check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9: Gorilla Tracking – Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
Wake up early for breakfast, meet your guide and head to the park headquarters for briefing about gorilla trekking conducted by a senior ranger guide who will take you through rules and regulations to follow while in the forest and presence of mountain gorillas.
In groups of 8 people, you will be assigned a gorilla family to trek and head into the forest looking for mountain gorillas. The trek takes approximately 2 to 6 hours or more depending on the movement of the gorillas and where they spent their previous night, you will be allowed to spend one hour in their presence watching them play, feed and groom under the gaze of a silverback.
Trek back to your lodge for a short rest, later check out and transfer to the beautiful Lake Bunyonyi known for its 29 islands and terraced hills. Check in at your lodge, enjoy dinner and overnight stay.

Day 10: Departure
Enjoy breakfast and go for a boat cruise on the beautiful Lake Bunyonyi, visiting the islands dotted in the lake. Later embark on a journey back to Kampala with a stop at the Equator for pictures and in Mbarara for lunch, continue to Kampala where you will be dropped off at your hotel or at Entebbe International Airport to catch your flight back home.
